Committees

Below is a brief description of the different ISSDA committees.  For a complete listing of the committee members and a more detailed explanation, click the links on the left sidebar.

Jails Committee - reviews jail standards and submits yearly updates to the Department of Corrections.

Legislative Committee - promotes the legislative goals of ISSDA in the Iowa Legislature.

Schools Committee - plans, coordinates and supervises the various schools of the association.

Uniform Committee - assists with uniform purchases.

Funeral and Honor Guard Committee - assists with funeral arrangements and explanation of death benefits.

Public Relations/Community Education Committee - aids members with PR needs and educating the general public.
