Hancock County Hiring Deputy Sheriff

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for a deputy sheriff position until May 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Please submit your application, along with a cover letter, resume, certified copy of your birth certificate, high school diploma or GED, college transcripts (if applicable), military discharge form DD-214 (if applicable), and ILEA law enforcement officer certification (if applicable) to 875 State Street PO Box 70, Garner, Iowa, 50438.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will notify applicants of the testing schedule. Lateral transfer is allowed for applicants who are currently Iowa-certified peace officers in good standing.
