Position: Full time Communications Specialist

Deadline: Open until filled

Communications currently has 1 Full-time position open.

Job entails but not limited to dispatching fire, EMS, and law enforcement in Hardin County, along with any other day to day duties in the communications center. This position will require working nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must attend and pass the National Dispatcher Selection Test.

Full time employees are eligible for all county benefits including sick leave, vacation and comp time, health, dental, vision and life insurance.

Current shift opening is A shift (10a-6p). During training, trainee will rotate through all shifts. Shift bids are done yearly and are granted based on seniority.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED
18 years of age or older at time of application
Valid driver's license
Pass a background investigation.
Proficient Typing skills
Pass National Dispatcher Selection Test
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Required training will be provided. Hardin County is seeking energetic people with a good work ethic and moral character.
